Webmaster Bio

I started Ahooga.Com in July 1996 so that I could learn more about the Ford Model-A because I wanted to get one as my hobby or project to spend time on. Here I am many years later, one divorce later with custody of my 3 children, I remarried after 5 years, gained 3 more children by Laurabeth, been through a battle or two with the ex and still don't have the money to get my Model-A. The money seems to always be needed elsewhere. It hasn't reduced my want, just my ability to have! Some day I will have a Model-A Ford to ride the roads in...
I make my living as an Electrical Engineer for
Schlumberger in Sugar Land, Texas where I work in the FE Wireline Nuclear Engineering Department designing downhole oil well logging equipment. Currently I'm a Project Manager for a tool group.
I have been with the company for over 29 years and I have always worked in engineering where I do design, testing, and programming. I have written manuals, taught many schools around the world on hardware and software operation of various oil well logging tools. I have electronics and hardware design and trouble-shooting experience and have done quite a bit dealing with the mechanical side of tool designs as well in our tough environment.
My hobbies besides being the designer and webmaster of the Ahooga web site include woodworking (not enough time) and computers. My passion however lies with antiques and of course Model-A Fords.
I'm the father of three wonderful boys, ages 23, 17 and 12 that have lived with me since my divorce in 1997. I married Laurabeth, my wonderful wife in Nov. 2001 who has three children of her own, ages 26, 25 and 17. They keep us busy but are all a joy!!!

(Left to right: Josh, Seth, Rachel, Laurabeth, Dale, Patrick, Joey and Scott. Taken Nov. 10th 2001.)
The many great people I have met and have become friends with since starting this web site in 1996 has nothing but enriched my life and knowledge of the world of Model-A's and even though I started it as a learning experience and 'STILL' don't own my own Model-A Ford my plans to are still find the car of my dreams someday...

Dale
