I started Ahooga.Com in July 1996 so that I could learn more about the Ford Model-A because I wanted to get one as my hobby or project to spend time on. Here I am much over 20 years later, one divorce later, raised my children and married to my beautiful wife Laurabeth for 19 years now. I bought my first Model-A Ford to ride the roads in for my retirement, a 1930 Coupe.
I made my living as an Electrical Engineer for
Schlumberger in Sugar Land, Texas where I worked designing nuclear based downhole oil well logging equipment. I retired in 2017 after 40 years.
My hobbies besides being the designer of the Ahooga web site include woodworking (not enough time) and antiques and as of late I have been doing Steampunk iron pipe designs. My passion however lies with the antiques and of course Model-A Fords.
I'm the father of three wonderful boys who are out on their own. I married Laurabeth, my wonderful wife in Nov. 2001 who has three children of her own. All are out on their own. We have four grandson's now with a fifth due soon.
The many great people I have met and have become friends with since starting this web site in 1996 has nothing but enriched my life and knowledge of the world of Model-A's and even though I started it as a learning experience and 'STILL' don't own my own Model-A Ford my plans are to still find the car of my dreams someday...

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy Ahooga,
