Working on my 1930 coupe Looks like the second owner Never grease the Spring shackles, all 4 have worn some of there Perch away and one looks like its 50% thinner on the right rear. The Rt rear shackle bolt was broken is was worn though so much. I see in some of the parts catalogs they have a Steel Bushing that you first ream or drill out the perch and then press the sleeve into the newly enlarged hole. Seams to me that it would be a good idea to grind 3 small recesses on to each end of the sleeve and then Weld it in place Has any one here used they sleeves and what was your out come ?
