You may want to rethink which direction the engine turns when the bendix retracts upon starting. I always rock forward in high gear to get the best mechanical advantage. When the bendix is hopelessly jammed I pull the through bolts and turn the armature by hand or use a strap wrench. Rainmaker Ron
