...try rocking the car in third gear, not second. Third gear allows the car the move easier than while in second, which is of course, a lower gearing. You want to get the rear wheel to turn before the engine will begin spinning, which will then release the jammed starter drive. This is undoubtedly the problem. If you are on slick grass, you may have to slip thin boards under the front of the rear wheels, or hold the clutch pedal down while someone pushes the car to dry land. As a last resort, remove the starter, which can be a bear if it's really jammed. If you do remove the starter, check that the shaft is not bent, or else you run the risk of this happening again.
Either way, this is nothing serious and you haven't broken your Model A. It's just another little joy of owning a car built on 100+ year-old technology (lifted mostly from the Model T with "upgrades").
