yes i got the modern valve kit with the modern one piece valve guides. the old two piece guides dropped out with no assistanve to them when the keeper and spring was removed. i did oil the new valves before installing. did not ream anything. we did mushroom the top of the guide using a brass drift and a plastic face hammer. use a drill bit to open up the upper 1/16 inch of the guide so the valve would fit. sounds like i messed up a bit. what size reamer do in need and were can i get one? the valves were the standard modern valves from a model a shop. thank you all for responding to my post.
