Most leaks at that connection are due to pipe and manifold mis-alignment. Bend the exhaust pipe as required to establish proper alignment. Then clean the mating surfaces and apply a bit of muffler sealer on the contact face of the flange. It is the consistency of tooth paste and use about a 1/4 inch bead. Use a jack at the bottom of the exhaust pipe and apply slight upward pressure. Attach the clamp, let the sealer dry according to directions and drive with no leaks.
