none of your reply changed my mind, but now Bob has both opinions to consider. maybe I have just been lucky.

I would never add counterweights to an "A" crank either, I'm just not interested in another lightened flywheel.

as another old guy (61) I too would rather spend the weekend touring in a Model A than doing a R & R of the rear axle. but if needed I can & will do it.
