Thanks to all who responded. You have been very helpful. Tim and Wick both mentioned turned/lightened flywheel. This engine does have a lightened (20 pounds removed) flywheel and V-8 type clutch. I'm told it is a Ford tractor clutch, but it looks the same as the V-8. At first, I thought this was great, but now I am getting advice that a flywheel lightened that much shouldn't be used unless I also have a counterbalanced crankshaft, which I don't. I do have a stock flywheel and pressure plate I could use, but I like the idea of the newer clutch, especially as my wife would be more likely to drive it also. Any advice on the pros and cons of using that light flywheel would be appreciated.
