I watched a guy buy a Fordor cowl band at the swap. He borrowed a largeish screwdriver and pryed it off of at the bottom, then proceeded to rip it away from the cowl with his hands. I asked if he had intended to keep the band, and was it not damaged? He decalred that it is brass and would be fine. Looked pretty destructive to me but... Good Luck: Fred A
