I don't understand the problem. "It was listed for sale and titled as a 1930 pickup" Why can't you just apply for a title in your state using the title you have? In your state everytime you buy any used car some kind of inspection has to take place? Go to another office keep your mouth shut and get the titled transfered in your name.
