Is that MANY "A"s probably never saw a paved road in the first 20 years of their lives. The service bulletins suggest the FRONT crankcase ear be cut off the pans to prevent them cracking off under use as the frame twists in the ruts.

Nowadays many folks couldn't FIND a dirt road to run 'em on.

But they do add a nice "finish" to the engine compartment.
