Put it on the most convenient plug to mount, generally on #1 is the easiest for turning access and to run the pull wire. Yes, you run it while under power to get the full effect, no it won't affect the engine unless you run it steady.If you have a tired engine it could feel like that cylinder is misfiring as it creates, in reality, a combustion leak. If your engine burns oil it will also spray oil in the engine compartment. Have a great 4th parade.
