Anyone who is a supplier to the Model A market should understand that not only is it a limited market, it is also very close knit, and these folks talk to one another, as is the case here. The last thing a supplier to this market wants is some bad press. Were I a radiator supplier and a customer called me up and said the seam on the bottom tank was never soldered and it leaks like a sieve, my response would have been to have him return it to me at my expense immediately. And if I found what he said to be true I would have a conversation with the employee who pencil-whipped the test. I would never stand there and argue with the customer even if I thought he was mistaken. I would give him the benefit of the doubt. This is the way Walt Bratton runs his business and it is why he has all my Model A business. |
