I add a pint of NAPA's radiator rust inhibitor called "Kool" to plain water. It is red in color and keeps the radiator clean and cool. It cost approx. $8 and seems to do a nice job of keeping the system clean. Before winter sets in I drain the system and leave the engine dry. Jack in CT.
